Since upgrading to Mavericks I can no longer scan documents on my Canon Pixma MP150 - the device does not show up in the scanner list in Image Capture. Printing still works fine. If I select the device in System Prefs > Printers & Scanners, and select the Scan tab, the 'Open Scanner' button just brings up a blank window.
Note that Canon's scanner application (MP Navigator) has not been updated for several years and hasn't worked for the last couple of MacOS versions, but Apple's own Image Capture has always worked great, until now...

Any ideas on how to fix this? Otherwise I'll need to buy a new printer/scanner, making this free upgrade a lot more expensive! Kind of a bummer - even though the MP150 is older, it works great.
